**Pet Quality Waiting List:  A non-refundable $50. deposit required for waiting list.  Place deposits early if you are looking for a female.  Pet kitten spots are allocated in order of receipt of deposit.  For instance, the first family who sends in a deposit for a female pet kitten will receive first pick of the available female pet kittens, the second deposit received will have second pick, etc.  The same holds true for those families wanting a male kitten.  I do take into consideration whether or not you have a particular color/pattern in mind, as well as the personality type you'd like best.  In my experience, all my kittens are sweet and friendly, however, some are naturally more outgoing and/or energetic than others.

IMPORTANT:  Pick of pet kittens does not include choice of show quality kittens as well.  I ascertain pet or show quality at my own discretion.

Note:  A non-refundable $200 deposit required to hold pet kittens until pick-up in the form of $50 for waiting list and $150 at birth of kittens, or $200 immediately due to hold kitten if you were not on the waiting list.  Total amount due at pick up or when kittens turn 12 wks old, whichever occurs first.

Questions And Answers About Spaying & Neutering

RegencyRags kittens are the highest quality around.  Our kittens have it all: beauty, brains and brawn!  Yet behind every pretty face is a fully socialized kitten.  My first Ragdoll pet kittens were stand-offish at best.  Just imagine my disapointment when my first, then second Ragdoll kitten would not sit on my lap or lay still in my arms.  I resolved then that were I ever to raise Ragdoll kittens myself, I would raise the ultimate
Ragdoll kittens emphasizing socialiability and beauty.

At RegencyRags the socialization of each kitten begins with its birth.  I am right there helping the dam deliver the precious babies.  Together we clean them up and tuck them away in warm blankets as the other kittens are born.  This can be a long process -- sometimes more than three hours.  Although tedious, I make a point to stay with the mother and babies until the last one is born, then watch over them making sure all the
new additions are nursing comfortably.

From then on I am with the babies everyday.  By three weeks old they come when I call to them.  It's just too cute to see them scooting on their baby legs.  At this point I put the kittens in a weaning box.  This way they can wander freely yet still have bounderies. This is where they learn to drink water, eat solid food, and use the litterbox!  Once they've mastered the litterbox at six weeks old and have received their first injectable
3-in-1 vaccine, I allow the babies out of the weaning box for short periods of time.  At this point they are too young to meet other cats or people.  It's at eight weeks old that the kittens are given free roam of the house.  It's at this point I think I've raised a herd of buffalo instead of kittens!  We have a huge house, so the kittens take advantage of all the room by running at top speed from one floor to the other.

Once the kittens have reached eight weeks old I invite neighbor children over to have supervised play with the kittens.  At this point the kittens get to take trips to Petsmart with me and that's always a real treat for the kittens and myself.  They love to be petted by the other pet lovers, and I like to hear how darn cute they are!

The kittens receive their second vaccine at nine weeks old and are de-wormed as well.  Around this time the kittens are seen by my vet, and by 10 to 12 weeks old the kittens are ready to go to their new homes.  I should note that throughout this process the kittens are encouraged to sleep with me and watch television with me, or sit on top of my book while I'm trying to read.  And imagine the fun when I try to cross-stitch!!!
It's kitten heaven around here.

In addition, I'd like to note that the health of our Ragdoll cats and kittens is of the utmost importance to us, equal in all ways to socialization.  I keep my numbers down to ensure that I stay small, and to ensure that all my cats live in a clean, sanitary and loving environment.  It surprises me to find that some breeders consider themselves small when they have ten to fifteen cats.  It surprises me when breeders tell me their cats live in a loving environment, then find out they live in the garage or in a barn, or in an unairconditioned backyard shed.  What kind of socialization can you expect your kitten to receive when they are living in the garage?  We have a wonderful vet in the Bay Area who treats any Ragdoll kitten or cat who becomes ill.  Luckily we have had very little illness in our cattery. The Ragdoll kitten price includes kitten shots, deworming, and a visit to the vet.  All Ragdoll kittens are sold under contract.  RegencyRags provides a two year genetic guarantee.  Please note that the kittens are not to be declawed.  Delivery assistance is available at no charge within 50 miles of my home.  I will deliver beyond that for a small fee.  I will also personally deliver your kitten via Southwest Airlines for the price of the ticket and a full day's airport parking.

As a hobby breeder I am not in this for the money and I want to see as many people possible with a Ragdoll in their house.  It's my opinion that Ragdolls are just "it" when it comes to felines and I want to make them available to everyone.  I am always ready to talk with kitten people, so give me a call or email if you'd like.  If you'd like additional information about the cats or kittens please let me know.

Each kitten buyer will go home with A Kitten Primer written by Denise Jordan-Saunders, a booklet that targets frequently asked questions and general guidelines to bringing home a RegencyRags kitten.

_____________

Please note:  Ragdolls are famous for their laid-back, sweet personalities.  They will follow you everywhere because all they want is to be with you all the time.  It's this unique devotation that makes them so desireable.  However, please be advised that Ragdoll kittens are energetic and mischevious just like any other kitten.  From past experience and as I've heard from other breeders, there's a misconception floating around that Ragdoll kittens are just as laid-back and relaxed as their adult counterparts.  There's a slight truth to that, because Ragdoll kittens are very sweet and loving after they've finished tearing around your house chasing everything and anything remotely resembling a toy.  Keep in mind that when a Ragdoll kitten wants to play, he's not much interested in snuggling.  In my opinion, Ragdoll kittens begin to settle into their adult ways beginning at six to seven months old.  All Ragdoll kittens have their own unique personalities, so keep in mind your kitten may settle down immediately, or it may take your kitten a full year to settle into that lazy adulthood.

Also, due to a Ragdoll's extreme attachment to his people, many a Ragdoll cat or kitten wishes they had a special playmate to keep their mind off their family when they've off to work, and school, etc.   Believe it or not, having two kittens around the house is nearly always less work than one kitten if you are away from the house for more than eight hours at a time.  In my experience, adding a second kitten to your household once your Ragdoll is up to two years old has been highly successful.  There are exceptions to that rule, as I've had families with four and five year old Ragdolls take very well to a brand new kitten.  However, by far the easiest and least stressful is adding two kittens to your home at the same time.  Littermates are the ultimate addition, yet, kittens close in age also do quite well.

_________

Pets generally $775.  We have a very strict spay/neuter policy.
Pets pre-reserved via the waiting list are $750.

Show Alters generally $1,250.
Breeders $1,500.

Please note that occasionally I do have kittens priced below the above stated amounts.  These kittens could be a runt, or perhaps a kitten born with a unique set of markings.  Sometimes they are older kittens that for some reason have become available at a later date.  They are still Ragdolls with that inherently sweet Regency Ragdolls personality.

Call or email if you are interested in finding out more about our kittens!  I do ship cats and kittens from Houston Intercontinental airport using Continental's Pet Safe program and only putting the precious babies on direct flights.  I hand-deliver kittens as well for the price of the airline ticket and one full day airport parking.  Ask about your options.

I also ship to international customers.  These kittens will be placed on a Continental carrier whenever possible.
